Read Their Story And Make A Pledge Today

Julia moved to Winnipeg from Calgary 5 years ago. She was in an abusive marriage which was very difficult. She has three daughters whom she is unable to see as they live far away. Julia used to work in sales – she is a people person. Her passion is for poetry and drawing – she would love to purchase a camera to take photographs to go with her poetry. She would also love to take a photography course but doesn’t have the money to do so. Julia also loves to run. Some of her fondest memories are her daughters cheering her on when she ran a full marathon plus she has gone bungee jumping. Julia is proud that she is able to stand on her own two feet after going through a very difficult situation – she has also worked hard to go to school. She wanted to be a teacher and spent a lot of time volunteering at her daughters’ school. Julia appreciates the people in the Transition program at Siloam Mission – they listen to her and try to help her. Julia would love to be able to help her boyfriend pay off his fines so he could get his license back.
