Read Their Story And Make A Pledge Today

Gordon spent 20 years with Westland Steel. He held the foreman/lead hand position which is the modern equivalent to a blacksmith. He worked as a heat treater to harden & temper steel. The industrial heat treatment of steel is a very complex & precise science. Unfortunately, production stopped in Winnipeg. For 18 months, he worked as a long haul trucker, but didn't enjoy it. Gordon is currently a resident. He will admit that relationships pose a challenge for him. But working with the youth, finishing furniture brings him joy. He loves the feel of solid wood, reading & cooking. He's a meat & potatoes guy. Some of his goals are to get a job, a home & continue to help others. This Christmas, he would give the gift of giving someone a chance.
