Geri enjoys the company of positive spirited people. She loves being around people that are not selfish in sharing their lives with others. Born and raised in SwanLake, Geri moved to Winnipeg in 1975. She worked in various jobs such as cabin cleaner and room attendant. Despite her jolly kind of character, she finds it challenging to get a permanent job because of her age. With the challenge of landing a job, Siloam became a rescue center for her. She finds the Transitional Services Program of Siloam very helpful especially in the areas of clothing, a warm place to sleep and counseling. Geri enjoys thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays because people are usually at their best especially on the area of giving. Given the chance, she would like to give clothing to those who uses Siloams’ services.
