Candace is from Winnipeg and she has a large family in the city. She was adopted as a child and has many happy memories from her childhood. As an adult she has been experiencing many challenges surviving on the streets of Winnipeg now that she is homeless. She does want to get out of the unhealthy lifestyle she is currently in and Siloam has been an incredible resource for her to get back on her feet. Some of her favourite memories around the holiday seasons involve getting time with family and having meals together. Her greatest hope for patrons of Siloam mission is that each person has a chance to get warm and be safe for the cold winter nights. Candace wants a big extra-large teddy bear to ‘talk’ to when she is going through some of her emotional challenges. She hopes that she can get one under her tree this Christmas.
