  • West Gate Mall, 101-2090 10 Ave SW , Bring your wrapped gift/item with ID name attached. Front desk staff will assist you Monday - Saturday 9am - 6pm and Sunday 10 am - 4 pm. All gifts will be delivered to the shelter on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24 to Lighthouse Emergency Shelter.

I am in my early 50's and lived in Salmon Arm for 3 years. I have first stage Parkinsons Diease. All I want for Christmas is a job. I am social person and enjoy people, I am not very good with computers but willing to learn new things. I hope to find a job over the holidays, it gives me purpose and I like to be busy. Any information on local work needed for someone unique like me, would be appreciated.

Wish List

I have lived in Salmon Arm for a short time. Most of my family is in Ontario. My relationship fell apart here and I have been living in my car for a short time. Recently I have discovered that I have some health issues which have been difficult for me to process. I am 64 years old, and worked hard all of my life, I am having a difficult time finding a place to rent within my budget. I hope to try to drive my car and few personal belongings to Edmonton to be with a dear friend of mine and start over. Grateful that the Salvation Army has provided me with shelter.

Wish List

I have been a long time resident of Salmon Arm. I love the outdoors and prefer to be outside. I am open and social and enjoy spending time with my friends. I do not need anything or want anything for myself this year for Christmas. I would appreciate a pouch of tobacco for a true friend of mine. Wish you all the best over the holidays.

I am young man from our Enderby area. I dont plan on staying here at the shelter for very long, I want to have the ability to help others this time of year, and bring hope back into their lives. I would encourage everyone to donate to the Salvation Army, I am grateful they have been here for so many people. With much gratitude, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

Ayla has been in Salmon Arm with her partner since this summer. Both have enjoyed doing jobs around town both yard work and house maintenance. They have plans to live in a local campground with their travel trailer. They feel gas cards would really help them both attain their independence, and get their own home here within the Shuswap.

Mouce has lived here in Salmon Arm for three years. She is a strong independent 50 year old woman who loves the outdoors. She has a very limited income which makes it difficult to have housing. Mouce has a Christmas wish requesting that others will advocate for low income housing in our community, that is healthy and safe for everyone. And for herself if anyone is able to rent a small apartment for $375 per month she would appreciate it if she could have her own home too.

I haven't been home to Prince George in seven years and been working odd jobs. I have saved enough for my ticket home to family this Christmas. I haven't been in Salmon Arm very long, my relationship broke down and I have come to stay here at the shelter. I am grateful that I have been able to get things together to get to back home, and I wish I could buy my sister and parents a Christmas gift.

Rodney is from the Sicamous area. Both Rodney and his brother travel together, and look out for one another. An environmentally friendly team that enjoy recycling and cleaning up the town. Rodney would like for both his brother and himself to be warm, and asked for new pair of hiker boots and warm clothing.
