I am 57 year old male. I am originally from Kamloops. I had been sleeping outside for the last 6 years. It was tough on the hard ground. I am now retired, but I worked for the same company fr 37.5 years. The things that have contributed the most to my difficulties is people stealing from you, no security. What makes me happy is having a warm place to stay at Gateway. If I had unlimited resources I would help people who need it. I am not really that interested in traveling. It is not necessary for others to pray for me.

Wish List

I am 53 years old and I am originally from Mission. The first time I was homeless it was in 1991. I was sleeping on the tracks in a tent, it was pretty hard. The jobs that I have done include being a cashier, maid service, waitress and babysitting. I liked being a cashier the most at the vegetable stand. I would like to do that again or maid service. The hardest part of my life has been that I have to pan handle to make money for tobacco, drugs etc. The difficulties started from rebelling against authority figures such as my mom and police. What makes me happy is the people around me, people watching and making money panhandling. If I had unlimited resources I would build a home, have a car and lots of antiques. I would like others to pray for me to have a quiet ongoing liftstyle and to pass away peacefully.

Wish List

I am 31 years old and I am originally from Vancouver. The first time I was homeless and slept outside it was something crazy because I was used to sleeping in a house. The work that I have done in the past includes being a dishwasher at Boston Pizza and a dishwasher at the Kicking Horse Palace in Golden. The thing that has contributed the most to my difficulties is that I wrote a diary for everybody to look at. It was supposed to be private. What makes me feel happy is that I am changing for the upcoming new year. If I had unlimited resources I would make a difference in communities that needed them. I would like others to pray for me and hope that I do not die. I would rate homeless partners at a 7 because I don't really know them, but props to them for having this program.

The things that have contributed the most to my difficulties stem from dysfunctional relationship abuse for 6 years, In addition it is difficult to find affordable housing, I am tired of couch surfing. What makes me happy is seeing my granddaughter and grandson, cooking and the fact that I have some good friends. If I had unlimited resources I would spend time with my family and friends cooking a wonderful meal. I would like others to pray for me so that I stay cancer free and find housing.
